Youth Advocacy Movement
The Youth Advocacy Movement (YAM) is a voluntary group that falls under the umbrella of FPATT. This voluntary group advocates sexual and reproductive health rights for young people of Trinidad and Tobago. This group is open to anyone who is between the age of 14- 25 and has a passion to make a difference. The youth body can also be called peer counselor who venture out into different communities on health fairs, youth friendly programs where by they would encourage and educate their peers on various SRH messages. YAM also take into consideration the 5 A’s (Abortion, AIDS/HIV, Adolescence, Advocacy and Access) of Family Planning Association Mission. This young energetic body ventures out seeking to better the society that we live in with an emphasis on sexual reproductive Health issues.
